October 1, 2009, marks the new beginning of the first of two phases of the Dallas Green Building Program
(Subchapter 10 of the Dallas City Code) administered by the Department of Building Inspection.

After October 1, new residential structures and new commercial buildings will be required to complete
Phase I of the Green Building Code
.
                          


Zaida Basora, AIA, LEED AP, Building Official of the City of Dallas, will join AIA Dallas to offer CES classes explaining the following:

• New requirements in Phase I
• Recommendations proposed by the Green Building Task Force
• Understand the process and procedures being put into place by the City of Dallas to facilitate the permit process for sustainable building.

AIA Dallas will hold 3 different classes in August and repeat them again in September and October, so be sure to register for the class you need at a time that works for you.
