Can you believe it? The Dallas Center for Architecture is approaching its first anniversary! For almost a year, the Center has served as a home to AIA Dallas and its allied partners. While all of these groups have hosted events and programs reaching out to more than 3000 visitors to date, the Center has energized the AIA leadership, committees and staff in promoting the value of good architecture and planning in Dallas and its surrounding communities.
The Center has received rave reviews on its design, and we are currently pursuing LEED certification. It’s an accomplishment AIA Dallas and its founding partners and in-kind donors can be quite proud of.
But we need to be financially sustainable, too! We still need $150,000 to retire the debt of the DCFA build-out.
Here’s where YOU can help! The traditional first anniversary gift is paper. Could you send us a few green ones?
Any amount will make a difference, but why not honor this milestone by pledging a dollar for every day we have been in operation! $365 to celebrate 365 days of sustainable design, public outreach and collaboration!
Our campaign is a short one! We hope to have commitments to BURN the debt on our official October 7, 2009 anniversary. YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Click here to make your contribution. (Oh, and plastic gifts are OK too. You can make your pledge payable in installments when you make your gift.)
Thank you Nigel Brown, P.E., with Structural Studio Consulting Engineers, for our first donation of $365! Click here to see who's joined Nigel in burning the debt!
